Under the patronage of the Austrian Biomass Association, the event will be run by the Austrian Centre of Excellence BIOENERGY 2020+ in cooperation with the organizers of EUBCE.<\/p>\n<p>The Austrian Day is supported by BMLFUW, BMVIT and WK\u00d6. Under the Chairmanship of\u00a0Prof. Hermann Hofbauer, Key Researcher of BIOENERGY 2020+, \u00a0Austrian companies and research\u00a0institutes will present their \u201cMade in Austria\u201c innovations of heat, power and fuel production to an international audience.<br \/>\nBased in a strong domestic market, Austrian bioenergy technology has a global leading position.<\/p>\n<p>Roughly half of Austria\u2019s households are supplied by a biomass-based heating system. With the exception of hydropower, biomass is Austria\u2019s largest renewable energy source.<\/p>\n<p>The Austrian Day is divided into 4 blocks:<\/p>\n<p>&gt; Fuels, raw materials, pre-treatment<\/p>\n<p>&gt; Residential Heat<\/p>\n<p>&gt; Heat and CHP<\/p>\n<p>&gt; Gaseous and liquid biofuels<\/p>\n<p>After the welcoming presentations on the topics of market development, potentials and biomass utilisation, each block will include five lectures of austrian companies and research institutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eubce.com\/parallel-events\/austrian-day.html\" target=\"_blank\">Find more information about the event, detailed programme, and registration<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Date: Wednesday 3 June 2015, 8:30 am \u2013 6:30 pm<\/p>\n<p>Venue: Messe Wien Congress and Exhibition Center, Messeplatz 1, 1020 Vienna<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the 23rd European Biomass Conference &amp; Exhibition\u00a0in Vienna, the Austrian Day \u2013 a bioenergy technology day, will take place on 3 June 2015.
