{"id":8354,"date":"2019-08-27T16:41:30","date_gmt":"2019-08-27T14:41:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.besustainablemagazine.com\/cms2\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=8354"},"modified":"2019-08-27T16:41:30","modified_gmt":"2019-08-27T14:41:30","slug":"innovation-fund-workshop","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.besustainablemagazine.com\/cms2\/event\/innovation-fund-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Innovation Fund Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"DE\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/clima\/policies\/innovation-fund_en\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><strong>Innovation Fund<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0is one of the world\u2019s largest funding programmes for demonstration of innovative low-carbon technologies with the focus on\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Innovative low-carbon technologies and processes in energy intensive industries, including products substituting carbon intensive ones, carbon capture and utilisation (CCU), construction and operation of carbon capture and storage (CCS), innovative renewable energy generation, and energy storage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">ETIP Bioenergy, in collaboration with the\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"DE\"><a href=\"http:\/\/artfuelsforum.eu\/\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><strong>ART Fuels Forum<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">,\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"DE\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rhc-platform.org\/\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><strong>ETIP Renewable Heating and Cooling<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"DE\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bioenergyeurope.org\/\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><strong>Bioenergy Europe<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">, is<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0organizing the Innovation Fund Stakeholder Workshop on Renewable Fuels and Bioenergy on the 12th of September 2019 in Brussels. The workshop has the aim to\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">to collect project ideas from the renewable fuel\/biofuel and bioenergy sectors and to discuss key sector-specific issues with regard to the selection and management of projects. The one-day workshop will include presentations from DG RTD, DG Clima and will present the key issues for the 1st Innovation Fund Call. Key items of the workshop represent:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">The project presentations from companies in the renewable fuels\/biofuels and bioenergy sector<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">, which will describe the basic features of the projects, such as the innovative technology and final products, its technological readiness level, expected GHG emission reductions and project development timeline.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">The discussion around key issues related to the preparation of the first call<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The workshop will identify key issues specific to the bioenergy and renewable fuel\/biofuel sectors and\/or cross-cutting issues which will be conveyed to DG Clima.
